Who owns and manages On Statenborough?

On Statenborough is proudly South Australian owned and operated by Resthaven Incorporated. The purchase of On Statenborough by Resthaven in July 2021 represents a significant investment in Resthaven’s retirement living portfolio, adding to their impressive suite of options for older people.

Who can live at On Statenborough?

On Statenborough is designed for retirees or those over 55 years who wish to live independently, but with the additional back up and support of some day-to-day assistance if and when required.

I have a house to sell, is this a problem?

No. Many residents take an option to secure an apartment of their choice, subject to the sale of their current property.

When can I use the facilities?

Residents of On Statenborough are entitled to use The Clubhouse and Bar anytime they are open. Family and friends are most welcome.

The Clubhouse is also popular for functions such as birthdays, anniversaries, family get togethers and sporting clubs. Private functions are booked with The Clubhouse.

The activities rooms, library and computer room are available any time, as is the billiard room.

The heated swimming pool, spa and sauna are open daily from 6am until 10pm.

How much is the limousine?

The chauffeur driven limousine service is part of the On Statenborough package and is free for the first 10 kilometres of any trip.

What are my rights of ownership?

Residents purchase their apartment under a loan licence agreement. A comprehensive Guide to Your Agreement is available on request.

On Statenborough is registered on the Certificate of Title at the Lands Title Office and residents are afforded the full protection of the Retirement Villages Act.

Residents have full occupation rights in respect of their apartment and tenure is secured under the Retirement Villages Act.

Is stamp duty payable?

Stamp duty is not payable on On Statenborough loan licences. This structure offers a considerable saving to the new resident of approximately $25,000 - $50,000.

Can I have a pet?

Yes! Pets are welcome at On Statenborough

Will I have full entitlements to my apartment?

When you become a resident at On Statenborough, you will be granted a lifetime lease to occupy the apartment and have full rights to the facilities at On Statenborough as set out in your agreement.

What are the services and benefits covered by the Service Support Fee?

All maintenance of grounds, buildings, lifts, carparks, air-conditioning, gardening, swimming pool, commercial kitchen and restaurant, administration and maintenance staff and chauffeured limousine.

Normal outgoings such as council rates, consumables, electricity, and telephone are paid by the individual.

On Statenborough has its own bore so watering is not a costly issue. Coopers’ Brewery was initially on this site because of abundant high quality water.

Are visitors allowed?

Family, friends, visitors, children and grandchildren are all welcome at On Statenborough.

What if I take holidays and am absent from On Statenborough?

Just advise the manager and they will look after everything until you return.
